Navel Ravikant is the founder of WellFound, formerly Angelist; a site used for job-seekers to find startups and for startups to find job-seekers. He was born in India and moved to America in his youth. He is an intellectual who occasionally hosts his own podcast and is a frequent podcast guest. He is broadly considered a success by his peers and those who follow him. He has invested in hundreds of companies and has started many.

He may be most known now for his wisdom and philosophy, appearing on shows like the Joe Rogan Experience, where he explains how every person can(and should) get rich. One of his best pieces of wisdom is the 3 and a half hour podcast where he tells you how to get rich. It’s worth listening to multiple times.

Eric Jorgenson wrote The Almananck of Naval Ravikant, a collection of Ravikant’s wisdom and philosophy compiled from many forms of media including podcasts, tweets, newsletters, social content, and more.

In the book, Ravikant details the minimum math skills needed for a successful life on page 110.

“arithmetic, probability, and statistics. Those are extremely important. Crack open a basic math book, and make sure you are really good at multiplying, dividing, compounding, probability, and statistics.”

Jorgenson, Eric. The Almanack of Naval Ravikant: A Guide to Wealth and Happiness
