The Golden Thread of Posture(Body Domain Tenet)

There are no downsides to maintaining perfect posture so it is a body domain tenet of the Andreia Philosophy to pursue perfect posture as a path to mastery, no matter what you pursue for body domain mastery.

  • The swimmer pursues posture mastery
  • The retired pursues posture mastery
  • The fighter pursues posture mastery
  • The Yoga practitioner pursues posture mastery
  • The child pursues posture mastery with the help of parents

Perfect posture does not mean a soldier-like rigidness of the spine at all times, but instead confers the idea of natural posture, which allows the spine to curve where it is meant to curve naturally.

To be in constant pursuit of perfected posture, there are two cues to keep in mind:

Ears over shoulders over…

Ears over shoulders, shoulders over hips, hips over knees, knees over ankles.

This will keep your body aligned. Consider this in all circumstances regarding how you take space: While seated, standing of course, and even when laying down, or sleeping: this applies to all positions.

If you are sad, depressed, or have other low-volume emotions, it is crucial to hold your posture because broken posture of the body domain will create stress cracks that damage the domains of mind and spirit, as they sit inside of the domain of body.

Stress cracks make the foundation weak – Stress will create cracks in the foundations of the individual making them weaker across body, mind, and spirit.

Imagine a bridge that has not been built with proper structure–structure is posture. The bridge will have stress cracks, and will eventually fail with enough pressure. The created physical world mimics what creates it. Humans are the same. If you do not maintain proper structure, you will fracture.

if an individual is plagued with low-volume emotions and they have bad posture, the bad posture makes the emotions worse, or can even be the cause of the low-volume emotions.

When we say “low-volume emotions” we mean a spirit that is infirmed and small, whereas anger or rage would be a high-volume and a large, uncontrolled spirit, akin to wildfire.

High-volume emotions can be dangerous when uncontrolled.

The spirit can be too small or too large–it is up to us to manage our spirits so they can help us move faster and farther down the path throughout this mortal life.

We love ourselves, and we care about ourselves and the relationship we have with ourselves, so we treat ourselves well. We lift ourselves up. We pull ourselves up.

The golden thread of Posture

For a simpler mantra for posture, remember the golden thread. Pulling yourself up literally begins with pulling yourself up.

The Golden thread above my head pulls me to the stars.

Everything you need to know about posture in one rhyme. The golden thread pulls you taunt, keeps you aligned and straight, and a thread above your head pulls you into the proper postural position of Ears over shoulders, shoulders over hips, hips over knees, knees over ankles.

This implies you are gently and comfortably flexing your abdominal muscles. This is the last little piece to maintain posture which also shows your abs more and prevents your pelvis from tilting. This will reduce your back pain.

Be the puppeteer of your body and pull yourself up.

Think of a marionette. The string pulls the puppet into its proper posture.

This Rhyme was created with the Latin quote: ‘Ad astra per aspera‘ in mind.

“To the stars through difficulties”

If the golden thread above your head pulls you up, your shoulders roll back, your head is tall and pulled back, your pelvis is not rotating, your lats are pulled down, your abs are subtly taunt. You’re ready for anything across Body, Mind, And Spirit(BMS).

Remember this and understand that posture is an inherent mastery that benefits all wanderers.
