The pursuit of mastery requires energy. Water provides energy while dehydration saps the wanderer of the energy needed to effectively pursue mastery on the path.
Energy must be cultivated to have a fulfilling life because growth requires energy expenditure in all things. All fulfillment has difficulty, regardless of whether or not the difficulty is acknowledged by the spirit.
After sleeping, you have been without water for 6-8 hours. At rest, you can easily become moderately dehydrated in 6-9 hours, meaning every time you sleep, you wake up in some state of dehydration. You should include drinking water in your morning primer, conducted immediately after you wake up.
The one reason to never let yourself get dehydrated
For mild dehydration, which still reduces energy, you can shake off the fatigue in 30 minutes or so after rehydrating.
Once moderate to severe dehydration fatigue sets in, it can take several hours to get rid of the fatigue after rehydrating.
Some don’t drink water, wandering the world in a confused, caffeinated, and exhausted state of being.
signs of mild dehydration:
- FATIGUE
- Thirst
- Dry lips or dry mouth
- Moderately yellow urine
- Headaches
- Mind domain degradation(focus, memory, attention)
Signs of moderate to severe dehydration
- MORE FATIGUE
- Dark yellow urine
- Very little urine
- Irritable, low emotional control
- Body pain, muscle cramps
- Dizziness
- Reduced sweating
- Pale skin
- Rapid breathing

Drink water right when you wake up to wake up clearer and without fatigue. You should add water to your body within 30 minutes of awakening.
For an extra boost in the morning, consider drinking 8oz of water mixed with Amazing Grass Greens.
Once dehydration fatigue sets in, it’s difficult to get that energy back. Because dehydration affects energy, which affects motivation, letting yourself become dehydrated reduces energy, focus, and awareness, all of which push you to hydrate.
Do not allow yourself to become dehydrated.
